Equipment

  • Blender – To blend all the ingredients into a smooth and creamy milkshake.
  • Measuring Cups & Spoons – For accurate ingredient measurements.
  • Coffee Maker (Optional) – To brew fresh coffee or espresso.
  • Spoon or Spatula – To scrape down the sides of the blender if needed.
  • Tall Glasses – For serving the milkshake.
  • Straws – For easy sipping.
  • Ice Cube Tray (Optional) – If using ice cubes for a thicker shake.
  • Whisk (Optional) – If making homemade whipped cream for topping.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 2 scoops vanilla or coffee-flavored ice cream
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1–2 teaspoons sugar, honey, or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 3-4 ice cubes (optional, for a thicker consistency)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup or caramel sauce (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or cinnamon (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Brew and Cool the Coffee – Prepare ½ cup of strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature. You can chill it in the refrigerator for faster cooling.
  • Add Ingredients to Blender – In a blender, combine 2 scoops of ice cream, ½ cup of cooled coffee, and ½ cup of milk. Add sugar or sweetener if desired.
  • Blend Until Smooth – Blend on medium to high speed for 30–45 seconds until the mixture is creamy and well combined. If you prefer a thicker milkshake, add 3–4 ice cubes and blend again.
  • Pour and Garnish – Pour the milkshake into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, caramel drizzle, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder for extra flavor.
  • Serve and Enjoy – Insert a straw and enjoy your homemade Coffee Milkshake immediately while it’s cold and refreshing!

Notes

  • Use Strong Coffee for Best Flavor – Espresso or cold brew works best for a rich taste. Let it cool completely before blending.
  • Adjust Sweetness to Taste – If your ice cream is already sweet, you may not need extra sugar. Honey, maple syrup, or caramel syrup can be used for added sweetness.
  • Customize the Consistency – Add more milk for a thinner shake or extra ice cream/ice cubes for a thicker texture.
  • Make It Dairy-Free or Vegan – Use plant-based milk (almond, oat, or coconut) and dairy-free ice cream for a vegan-friendly version.
  • Chill Your Glass for Extra Freshness – Place your serving glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before pouring to keep the milkshake colder for longer.
  • Enhance the Flavor – Try adding chocolate syrup, a dash of cinnamon, or vanilla extract for an extra boost of flavor.
  • Serve Immediately – Coffee milkshakes taste best when fresh, so enjoy them right after blending for the best texture and flavor.
